Kanunda National Park

Hi All!
Another one with photos from my favourite guest photographer, Rob von Grabler-Crozier. This time the shots are of Kanunda National Park in South Australia. It is quite a way south of Adelaide (350kms) and the closest South Eastern town is Millicent (13kms to the south west). Rob and friend Mark spent the weekend camping with the children there about five years ago. They had a blast! Here are some memories of the weekend...

There are quite a few of them so I am going to let the photos do the talking this time!

Thank you so much Rob! Those are wonderful images of yet another off-the-beaten-track destination in Australia. South Australia has a lot of these hidden gems and yet it is mostly over-looked as a go to spot when planning a trip away.

Obviously, this is not a well serviced tourist trap. You will need a 4WD and you will need to plan carefully and bring everything with you including water and lav paper. There are no shops and there are no museums, entertainments or anything else. The broad vista is your entertainment and food is what you have packed - no golden arches for quite a few miles!

Kanunda is a classic spot for around the campfire yarns and walks along the beach. Watch out for snakes though. This is Australia and this is their territory. Ditto spiders. But have a good time all the same and all this could be yours for a night!
